Job Description:

To build and protect the corporate reputation of Royal Canin Benelux.

To develop, propose and implement medium- and long-term communication strategies to help keep Royal Canin Benelux at the top of Pet Nutrition.

To constantly support the brand reputation in full respect of Royal Canin philosophy & communication codes as well as with the Mars 5 Principles.

Continuous improvement of internal- and external communications and crisis management in Benelux.

Influence regulation to create a sensible business environment.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Preferably professional background in Animal- and/or Human Health Care
• 7-10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in People Leadership
• Highly effective communicator with demonstrated expertise in written and verbal skills (e.g., press releases, articles, presentations and speeches) that can effectively create content and selling tools to articulate a vision
• English fluent
• Dutch and French moderate

What will be your key responsibilities?

Management

• Lead the Corporate Affairs Benelux team by driving ambition, priorities and performances
• Drive a culture of engagement, development and inclusion within the team
• Create collaborative relationships with other Royal Canin Benelux functions, Royal Canin Europe Corporate Affairs Community and other Mars Inc. divisions in Belgium and Netherlands
• As a member of the Leadership Team, strongly contribute to the Royal Canin Shaping Health ambition Benelux

Corporate Affairs main orientations

• Build & protect corporate reputation - protect and promote a favorable corporate image among key stakeholders, through a proactive and reactive approach. Leverage issue and crisis management, media relations, consumer care and community engagement to strengthen and protect Royal Canin corporate reputation.
• Shape favorable public policy. Understand how to engage with public policymakers, opinion leaders, trade associations and other key stakeholders to inform, influence, and formulate favorable public policy that protects our freedom and generates opportunity for growth.
• Strengthen brand through PR - drive sales through Public Relations targeting consumers, customers and endorsers; promote and protect our brand; design, lead and evaluate PR programs, through different channels and influencer groups; create long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships.
• Inform & Inspire Associates - drive business performance through aligning the organization; create and execute inspiring and compelling communications for Associates focusing on business vision, engagement, objectives and priorities; help Associates understand their role at Royal Canin and at Mars level and its importance.
• Shape favorable public policy. Understand how to engage with public policymakers, opinion leaders, trade associations and other key stakeholders to inform, influence, and formulate favorable public policy that protects our freedom and generates opportunity for growth.
