Job Description

As our E-Category Manager you wlll drive our customer’s and Ontex category growth online and establish Ontex as a preferred partner. Your key role is to take part in the digital and online strategy that supports our existing multi category vision (baby, adult, femcare), both for our retailer brands and our branded business. You will be a key contributor for the local teams on how to engage with retailers most effectively on e-commerce topics, as well as providing content, measure and track results. You will develop toolkits, analyses and set up training sessions and on the job coaching to support your work. This job is a real mix of both consulting and action! As an E-category manager, you will be a key part of our Europe division, contributing to the execution of the team’s global initiatives and the achievement of their overall objectives. Main Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Combine both offline and online strategies to effectively engage and support our customers (consumer goods retailers) in their digital transformation and in the race to win with a strong omni-channel strategy
  • Manage multiple omni-channel projects covering areas with different trends and specificities and including areas with different levels of digital adoption
  • Monitor & anticipate new eMerchandising trends & winning tactics partnering with the local team, CMI & the retailer
  • Develop ad’hoc content to support our category digital shelf strategies (search & content tools & best practice , price and promotion recommendations) in relationship with local category managers & brand managers
  • Support and provide content for consumer and shopper research projects which include e-commerce related elements
  • Influence and promote the benefits of increased digital awareness and participation in omni-channel in Ontex cross-functionally by interacting with both external and internal people with different levels of seniority
  • Interact with customers and their local agencies across divisions – challenge them – propose new ways of working to them to drive increased change and action in the omni-channel arena
  • Build best practices and share them internally and externally, and promote reapplication across the business where appropriate
  • Build digital and e-commerce capabilities across divisions and spread knowledge on digital and e-commerce topics internally (e.g : internal trainings, community building, playbooks, toolkits).
  • Maintain an active awareness on industry trends & best practises
  • 2-3 years’ experience in category management
  • Ideally a first experience in e-category management
  • Good analytical skills
  • Experience in CRM
  • Experience in collaborating & influencing cross-functional teams and business partners
  • Good knowledge of the digital eco-system
  • Experience with retailers is an asset
  • Ability to support the build-up of a strategic plan
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, result driven and agile
  • Fluent in english
