As a Data Engineer you focus on data flows and creating data insights. You will be responsible for maintaining current pipelines as well as designing & implementing new efficient and reliable data pipelines between various applications and systems.

If we shift data from one system to another, or we need data analysis, you are the one to call. In general, you are responsible for all data integration processes to facilitate smooth data transfer between different SaaS (Software as a service) applications, ensuring data consistency & accuracy. This includes both maintenance, as project management on new integrations. You have strong data analysis skills (Power BI) to gain insights and create meaningful visualizations for all operational teams.

You keep a constant eye out for performance optimization as you continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime. Lastly, we require comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and configurations for reference and troubleshooting.

You will be part of the IT team of ION and report directly to the Head of Digital.

DEVELOP YOURSELF

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Science Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on data flows, data exports & visualizations.
• Strong Power BI skills and proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data, data analysis and visualization tools. Python experience can be considered a plus, we have some AI projects in the pipeline
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
