In order to grow this IFS support network to the next level, and as part of a global and local Finance Transformation, we have revised our client onboarding and billing processes, which are now integrated and managed by the Middle Office team.

The mission statement of the Middle Office is clear: “Excel in optimised internal procedures and drive the client and engagement administration with expertise and know-how to unburden client-facing staff so that they can focus on building meaningful client relationships, developing new business and delivering qualitative engagements.”

We’re looking for a KYC Co-Lead to join the Middle Office and work as ONE team from our Brussels office, to bring guidance and support to his/her KYC Co-Lead colleague and the team members (KYC Analysts) during changing and conflict situations.

Your impact

As a KYC Co-Lead, you’ll make an impact by:

  • managing operationally with your Co-Lead the team of KYC Analysts

  • translating AML and other risk management regulations into clear work instructions towards the C2C team members

  • providing on-the-job coaching to the KYC Analysts

  • taking application ownership over AML Applications and processes; meaning

    • following-up on functional and technical tickets; providing support and advising or escalating them further to the relevant local and global teams and following-through until closure

    • coordinating and networking with local and global project teams (as needed)

    • actively participating to projects concerning new/update to AML applications and processes; and taking active part in UAT or release preparation workshops (occasionally in weekends)

    • preparing business cases to bring efficiency gains to AML applications and processes, through a.o. automation, standardisation and other efforts

    • coordinating the project in collaboration with local and global IT and PMO teams

    • preparing all training and communication materials and providing training to all relevant stakeholders - C2C team members; business users; …

  • providing training on AML and other risk management procedures towards the C2C team members; and potentially business users (all levels)

  • providing 1st-level-support to Quality team members wrt AML applications and processes; and 2nd-level-support to the Operations team members


About you

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience

  • You have working experience of at least 5 years in team management & operational management

  • You are procedure-minded

  • You have working experience of at least 5 years in KYC/CDD/AML

  • You see challenges as an opportunity

  • You had a first experience in training people in procedures/administration

  • You have demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills

  • You care for people and have good people skills

  • You work in a structured way and are able to manage stressful circumstances

  • You understand the Belgian law and are able to translate this into new adapted procedures

  • You have a natural ability to see the purpose of procedures and link instructions with strict regulatory requirements
