UCB remains a great opportunity for the individual to get a breadth of experience of the drug pipeline from research through to the clinic, whilst working in a highly collaborative environment to learn, contribute and gain visibility in a scientific and cross functional setting.To strengthen our Quantitative Discovery and Development Sciences team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Paediatric Pharmacometrician,based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, Slough, UK or Monheim, Germany.You Will Contribute ByServing as an internal Pharmacometrician working within a team supporting the area of paediatric drug development. This will include but not be limited to:
  • Defining the pharmacometrics strategy of the Paediatric Investigation Plan (PIP)
  • Working with the clinical team on the relevant evidence based development approach
  • Apply state of the art methods to design the paediatric trials, including optimal sampling, PBPK-PD, dose-adaptation, Bayesian approaches
  • Support the paediatric trials during conduct with on-going review and analysis of data
  • Perform analysis and reporting of registration analyses to fulfil the paediatric commitment
  • Contribute to briefing documents and regulatory submission documents in collaboration with the QCP lead.
  • May extend to a broader pharmacometrics role, based on experience and company needs
Interested?For this position you will need the following education, experienceandskills:
  • Knowledge of PK and PK/PD models
  • Knowledge of relevant software (NONMEM, R, others)
  • Knowledge of model development / model optimization (selecting structural model, covariate analysis, graphical and statistical assessment of data and output)
  • Either strong mathematical / statistical background with sufficient physiological / pharmacological knowledge or strong physiological / pharmacological background with sufficient mathematical / statistical knowledge
  • Able to communicate with non-experts to ensure we deliver what is expected
  • Able to explain results to experts and non-experts
  • Able to present at conferences
