Reporting to the Safety Manager, as Safety Officer – Occurrence Reporting, you will analyse (safety) reports with regard to safety and you will give advice on measures to safety. You will evaluate the effects of these measures on the TUI fly operations, taking into account the legal requirements and the right balance between safety and commercial interests.As Safety Officer – Occurrence Reporting you will also be responsible for the administration and development of the airline’s Safety and Compliance database.About The JobAs Safety Officer – Occurrence Reporting:- you will manage the Safety and Compliance database and associated software, including various responsibilities and duties such as defining safety limits, coordinating the introduction of new releases of the system and investigating, evaluating, processing and solving problems in cooperation with the manufacturer of the Safety and Compliance database. You will be responsible for making proposals and coordinating improvements with the aim of efficient and effective use of the database.
- you will enter and classify (safety) reports, examine situations in (safety) reports and make risk analyses with the aim of maintaining or improving quality and safety. You will distribute (safety) reports for coordination on follow-up to subject matter experts within the QSSE department.
- you will proactively identify threats within the organisation and make proposals for mitigating measures. You will provide statistical information by means of a dashboard so that it can be discussed with the relevant managers and/or the Nominated Persons and Accountable Manager in the SRB (Safety Review Board).
- you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the dashboard.
- you will promote the SMS (Safety Management System) through presentations and publications and thereby increasing the safety awareness of the employees.
- you will act as the secretary of the Fatigue Safety Action Group (SAG). Delivering statistical data and analysis including the Fatigue Dashboard well before each FSAG, preparing the agenda and making minutes.
- you will be responsible for reporting on the results of Quality Assurance, audit plan progress, non-compliances and (safety) incidents in various (SAG) meetings. Hereby you will act as secretary and make recommendations for improvements.
- You have a Bachelor degree and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an equivalent role
- You have knowledge of international and national aviation regulation and legislation (E.g. EASA)
- You preferably have experience with Quality and Safety Management software applications
- You have strong analytic skills
- You can work independently and take initiative
- You have a problem solving mind-set and are able to set priorities
- You are always looking for improvement opportunities, ways to improve
- You are structured and like project management
- You like working in an international, changing environment
- You have excellent written and oral skills in Dutch and English
